Damon is currently serving as the Executive Director of Uganda Child Rights Ngo Network. Uganda Child Rights NGO Network (UCRNN) is a coalition of child focused organizations including community based, national and international organizations working for the welfare and the rights of children in Uganda. He previously served as Country Director for Dwelling Places- Uganda. He has serves on various government Ministry taskforce and committees; like the National Taskforce on Prevention of Trafficking in Persons and the Alternative Care working group where Damon represents the voices of the children.

Damon serves on the Advisory Board of Uganda Collation Against Trafficking In persons (UCATIP) and is Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Eastern African NGO Network, a Network that brings together the Child Rights Collations in the Eastern African under the African Union and at the same time Vice Chair of the African Union Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child- CSO FORUM at the AU.

With this passion to work with empowering children, Damon hopes to play a part in ensuring that the next generation is protected from all forms of exploitation, abuse, and violence, commercial sex exploitation, plus child labour including forced begging & scrap collection in cities. He has been working with children and families for the last 12 years in the areas of HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment, family empowerment, child trafficking prevention, curtailing child labour, curbing child family separation, and in advocacy at the grassroots, national level, and international level. He is an Ethics and Development studies graduate from one of Africa’s best missionary university Uganda Martyrs University emerging as a development worker/ Social worker.

Afaf Mirghani is the current Vice-Chair of the EACRN Committee. She holds a Bachelor of Arabic Language - Omdurman Islamic University and a  Diploma in English translation from the University of Khartoum.
Afaf is the Founder & General Director Joud Foundation, Learning and Training Integration, and doubles up in the same position at the SCRF (Child Rights Forum Network)
She previously held the position of Vice-Chairperson at the Eastern Africa Child Rights Network (EACRN) from 2014 to 2017.
She sits on various boards, councils, and coalitions in different capacities.  She is a member of the Committee for Arab Mental Policy;  World Council of ambassadors of peace and the rights of person with disabilities and Disability Council Khartoum State. She is also the Chairperson for Mental Union  Khartoum State (2014 – 2018) and the Vice person for disability coalition Khartoum State (2014 – 2018)
To add to her expertise in the leadership space, she is the Founder & General Secretary of Aman For Child &Woman Development Organization and also a Director of Arab Center for Specialized Media for Person with Disability – Sudan Office
